with high quality printed work, with the community in mind.
Replicate is a boutique-style giclée print studio located in downtown Lancaster. Using high quality materials and pigment printers, Replicate creates fine art reproductions and digital prints for artists at every level and medium, from Lancaster and beyond.
Creating a beautiful and true-to-the-original print of artwork is so important for the reputation of not only myself, but the artist and the community. You can expect high quality work, at a fair price, with the knowledge, care, and expertise you need.
This business prides itself on being woman-built, owned, and operated. Replicate upholds its values of uplifting marginalized members of the community, and will not print any AI, offensive, or extreme religious imagery.

what is giclée?
Giclée is a French word meaning “to spray”. Which is referring to the inkjets of a printer spraying ink onto the paper. It is a term used for digital fine art printing.
how is it different from my home office printer or a copy center?
A giclée print is done with high quality inks, usually between 8-12 pigments. This, combined with specialty papers and expertise in handling, creates archival reproductions and prints of art and photography.
Why should I use giclée?
As an artist, it is important to sell and show your work at top quality at all times, even if it is a print of the original. Not all consumers of art can afford originals. High quality prints allow everyone to have unique art in their home, while keeping artists selling and sharing their work.
What You need before placing an order:
Files - High quality scans, photographs, or saved files. 2MB or larger .tiff, .jpg, or .pdf format.
Size - What size makes sense for where they will be sold? Do you want easily framed prints?
Paper - Smooth, textured, matte, semi-gloss, etc
Timeline - Make sure to plan accordingly for events and selling seasons. One week is always a good lead time.
Quantity - Factor in budget, demand, venue, etc. There are no minimums on prints above 8x10”.
Proofs - A test print before a large run is a great way to check for accuracy and quality.

The fine print
From Replicate, you can expect that I will do my absolute best to provide high quality prints that represent your intent or original artwork as closely as possible. I will provide quality customer service to everyone who is a quality customer.
Certain colors and finishes cannot be replicated using inkjet printing techniques, like neons and metallics. Quality images of your work help in translating these, and test prints are highly recommended. In general, a reproduction can only be as good as the images I am printing from.
“Regular” turnaround can be anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks, depending on the schedule and the size or complexity of the order. Please plan accordingly. It is highly recommended that you allow one week for me to process your order. Rush/same day orders are generally not accepted. Stretched canvas prints need a one week minimum, as prints need to cure.
Proofs or test prints are also highly recommended, especially for new customers and larger pieces. Once a proof is seen by the client in person and approved, I cannot issue any refunds except toward printer error.
If no proof is requested, a refund of 50% can be given on prints with printer error. This is to cover cost of supplies and time. If no proof is requested and the client has changes to size/anything of personal preference after the final pieces have been delivered, no refund can be given. A discount on re-prints will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Prints can be re-printed at no charge if the defect is printer error. This is not combined with a refund, the customer must choose how they would like to proceed. For an order that is already in progress, and canceled by the client for reasons outside Replicate’s means, a 50% refund will be given. Completed orders cannot be canceled or refunded, except in the instances mentioned above.
Payment is expected upon receipt of the invoice, which is sent at the request of an order. Payments are made by Square payment requests, unless otherwise arranged. Checks can also be accepted. Price Quotes can be requested via email without the promise of an order.
You may be asked if your work can be shared via social media: If you respond in the positive, your work will be shared to the Replicate Instagram. Your page will be tagged. This is an unpaid arrangement. You can request at any time to have your work removed from the Replicate Instagram page.
